Linkwasha Camp is situated in the best location in Hwange National Park. The camp is situated near the famed Ngamo Plains, which offers fantastic summer game viewing – to add to the already excellent winter viewing within the private Linkwasha Concession.
Overlooking a pan that is a magnet for game across all seasons, the fresh, open and airy design of the camp is complemented by an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors. The nine en-suite tents (eight twin and one family) all offer uninterrupted views of the waterhole, while the main area includes various multi-level decks, a pool and a winter lounge complete with fireplace and library
Activities include day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles where you have the opportunity of seeing the following nocturnal species: lesser bushbaby, spotted hyena, leopard, lion, Selous mongoose, pangolin, caracal, porcupine, scrub hare, springhare and even honey badger. Guests also have the option of spending a night under the spectacular African skies on a nearby “star bed.”
Nature walks and local village visits are also on offer. An authentic village experience takes place in a manner that is respectful to all parties. Usually around four hours and guided by one of the local villagers or Wilderness guides, it often includes a guided tour of the school, meeting the headman and enjoying cultural exchanges with the local villagers.
